The Deaf Frog...
The Apostle Paul, Philippians 4: 6-9, The Message:
"Don't fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God's wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It's wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life. Summing it all up, friends, I'd say you'll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious—the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse. Put into practice what you learned from me, what you heard and saw and realized. Do that, and God, who makes everything work together, will work you into his most excellent harmonies."

There once was a bunch of tiny frogs who arranged a running competition. The goal was to hop across numerous lily pads and make it down to the end of a creek. It was a very long creek. A big crowd had lined up all the way down this long creek to see the race and cheer on the contestants...

The race began. Honestly, no one in crowd really believed that the tiny frogs would reach the end.
You heard statements such as:
"Oh, WAY too difficult!!"
"They will NEVER make it to the end."
or: "Not a chance that they will succeed. The creek is too long!"

The tiny frogs began collapsing. One by one... except for those, who in a fresh tempo, were leaping farther and farther... the crowd continued to yell, "It is too difficult!!! No one will make it!"

It started to rain, and some frogs slipped on the lily pads. More tiny frogs got tired and gave up... but ONE continued farther and farther... this one wouldn't give up!

At the end everyone else had given up racing down the creek. Except for the one tiny frog who, after a big effort, was the only one who reached the end!

THEN all of the other tiny frogs naturally wanted to know how this one frog managed to do it?

A contestant asked the tiny frog how he had found the strength to succeed and reach the goal?

It turned out... that the winner was DEAF!!!! The Apostle Paul said not to fret, but to pray! He said, "you'll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious—the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse."

What are you filling your mind with today? Are you thinking and speaking the positive or the negative for your own life?

Also, we must go beyonf mere positive thinking, we must also have positive action. So run your race, but run it with bold faith ... and that means turning a deaf ear to the negative voices! Always think: God and I can do this!
